Pastries are a delicious way to start your day, my favourite are puff pastry ones. For these Apple and cinnamon pastries I used red apple although you could use green too. The secret to add more flavour is to use a fruit spread, I used the apple and cinnamon from St Dalfour.

The required skills to make these are basic, I used ready rolled puff pastry which is so convenient. These pastries have no added sugar, are super flaky, made in no time and delicious.

Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • Ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1 Apple
  • St Dalfour Apple and cinnamon fruit spread

Method:

  1. Using a cookie cutter, cut circles of approximately 8cm wide, slice your apple and remove the seeds
  2. Spread the fruit spread over the pastry and top with the apple
  3. Bake at 180c for around 15-20 minutes
  4. Let cool slightly and then top with some more fruit spread. Best enjoyed warm

Apple and Cinnamon Pastries

Pastries are one of my favourite ways to start the morning, especially when puff pastry is involved. These apple and cinnamon pastries are quick, easy, and full of warm flavour. I used red apples, but green works just as well, and adding a fruit spread — like the apple and cinnamon one from St Dalfour — gives an extra boost of sweetness and spice. With ready-rolled puff pastry, no added sugar, and minimal effort, you’ll have golden, flaky pastries ready in no time. Perfect for a cosy breakfast or snack!
