Parmesan Pastries

I usually share sweet pastries and a savoury one was overdue.These are ready in no time and use a handful of ingredients.

Ready made puff pastry is always my preference as it saves lots of time and you get that perfect flakey texture, add some Parmesan cheese to make them super tasty.

Here are the ingredients you will need (makes 3):

  • 1/2 sheet of ready rolled puff pastry
  • Grated Parmesan
  • 1 egg

Method:

  1. Use a rolling pin to flatten the pastry a until it is around 1-2mm thick
  2. Add the Parmesan on top and use the rolling pin again to make the Parmesan stick to the pastry
  3. Fold the long side over and cut three strips, twist each strip and then roll so they for a wheel
  4. Whisk the egg and using a brush add some on top of each pastry
  5. Bake at 180c for  15-18 minutes, let cool slightly and enjoy!
