Easy to make
Social media has introduced me to the wonders of crinkle pies. The most comment way to find them is the bigger format but I decided to make these muffin size for perfect little snack.
Made with filo pastry and custard these sweet pastries are a delicious treat to share with friends and family.
Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 4 sheets filo pastry
- 2 tbsp biscoff spread
- Melted light butter
For the custard
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp skyr or Greek yoghurt
- 1 tbsp melted biscoff
- Around 1/4 cup milk
Method:
- Spread the biscoff on the long edge of the filo sheet, fold in around 2 cm and repeat until you have a long thin strip
- Arrange each strip in a muffing tray, brush some melted butter making sure to cover as much as you can. Bake at 180c for 10 mins
- Mix the custard ingredients and add to the pies, return to oven and cook for further 20 mins.
- Let cool slightly, top with some more biscoff spread and crumbs if you like and enjoy!
