Soft, fluffy, and bursting with the sweet taste of GOOD GOOD Strawberry Jam, these Strawberry Bread Rolls are the perfect treat for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon snack. Made with GOOD GOOD’s Strawberry Jam, they offer the ideal balance of sweetness and flavour.
Here’s how to make them:Ingredients (Makes 9 Rolls)
For the Dough:
- 5g instant yeast
- 200ml lukewarm milk (semi-skimmed works best)
- 60g melted light butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 30g sweetener (your choice of sweetener)
- 300g strong bread flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- For the Filling:
- GOOD GOOD Strawberry Jam
For the Glaze:
GOOD GOOD’s No Added Sugar Maple Syrup, mixed with water (to brush over the rolls)
Method:
- Activate the Yeast: In a large bowl, combine the yeast and lukewarm milk. Stir gently and allow it to sit for a few minutes until the yeast is dissolved and slightly bubbly.
- Make the Dough: Add the melted butter, vanilla extract, sweetener, flour, and salt to the bowl. Stir everything together with a spoon until a dough starts to form. Once it’s combined, knead the dough for a few minutes until it becomes stretchy and smooth.
- First Rise: Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for about 50 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
- Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 2mm thick. Spread a thin layer of Good Good strawberry jam across the dough.
- Form the Rolls: Fold the dough into thirds—bring one end to 2/3 of the length, then fold the other end over the top. Slice the dough into approximately 3cm strips.
- Shape and Rest: Follow the video tutorial (or your preferred method) to shape the strips into rolls. Arrange them in a muffin tray and cover lightly. Let them rest for another 45 minutes to rise.
- Bake: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.
- Glaze and Serve: Once baked, brush the tops of the rolls with the sugar-free maple syrup glaze for a sweet, glossy finish. Let the rolls cool slightly before serving.
