This was my first time baking with quinoa flour, the rolls turned out really amazing, I love how versatile this flour is. Taste wise it does have a strong tasted which I wasn’t overly keen on but as a gluten free option is still fabulous!
Here are the ingredients you will need:
3g instant yeast
150ml lukewarm milk
40g melted butter
50g sweetener
300g quinoa flour
Filling: chocolate protein spread
Egg wash
Method:
Add yeast and milk to a bowl and mix, add rest of dough ingredients, mix well with an spatula first until it forms a ball
Over a floured surface knead for 5-10 minutes, the dough will be a bit sticky but that’s okay
Cover and rest for 60 minutes
Punch dough and flatten with a rolling pin to form a rectangle, spread the chocolate all over then start rolling the dough as shown in the video
I made some cuts with scissors and then brushed with egg
Bake at 180c for 20-25 minutes until golden. Enjoy!
