Ham & Cheese Pizza Buns

Pizza buns were one of the first bread recipes I ever made, I decided to remake these with some adjustment to make them extra fluffy and delicious.

For the filling I went with ham and cheese but you can choose pretty much anything you like, even Nutella or a sweet and savoury combo.

Here are the ingredients you will need (makes 8):

  • 300g strong bread flour
  • 5g yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 200ml lukewarm warm water

Filling:

  • Tomato puree
  • Ham
  • Mozarella cheese

Method:

  1. Mix the flour, yeast and salt. Add the water and mix
  2. Knead the dough until soft and bouncy
  3. Cover and leave to rest in a warm dry place for around 3 hours
  4. Once the dough has risen, divide into 8 portions
  5. Using a rolling pin. flatten the dough, add some tomato purée, ham and cheese, fold the edges inwards to seal
  6. Air fry them at 180c for 20-25 minutes, remove them half way and add some extra cheese on top of you like.
  7. Brush some olive oil mixed with garlic and herbs and enjoy!
