I keep seeing videos of honey butter toasts from a bakery in London. I have changed the recipe slightly and added some St Dalfour apricot spread to elevate it to the next level.
This version is cooked is a frying pan but you could also use an oven, either way should get you that crispy sweet crust.
Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 3 slices of bread
- St Dalfour Apricot fruit spread
- 20g softened butter
- 15g brown sauce
- Pinch of salt
Method:
- Cut the crust of the bread slices
- Spread some apricot jam over each of the bread slices and stack them on top
- Mix the butter, brown sugar and salt and spread over the bread making sure to cover all sides
- Cook over a medium heat skillet until golden brown
- Serve and top with some whipped yoghurt and more apricot jam. Enjoy!
